"The trinity came from Catholicism, it didn't come out of the bible by the way, it came from Catholicism."
(David Eells - 8-04-2004, Oneness, Trinity or truth? - Part 1)

Oh really Mr Eells?

What bible do you read?

Let's see what God's word says:

John 14:16
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

In the above verse we have God the Son, praying to God the Father, and he shall give you ANOTHER Comforter, that HE may abide with you forever, whom we know to be the Holy Spirit.

John 14:26
But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 16:7
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
John 16:8
And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
John 16:9
Of sin, because they believe not on me;
John 16:10
Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
John 16:11
Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
John 16:12
I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
John 16:13
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
John 16:14
He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew [it] unto you.
John 16:15
All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew [it] unto you.

2 Corinthians 13:14
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, [be] with you all. Amen.

Ephesians 4:4
[There is] one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
Ephesians 4:5
One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
Ephesians 4:6
One God and Father of all, who [is] above all, and through all, and in you all.

1 John 5:7
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

The baptist confession of faith 1689 does a very good job of explaining the biblical doctrine of the Holy trinity:

Baptist confession of faith - chapter 2 - God and the Holy Trinity

The Lord our God is the one and only living and true God; Whose subsistence is in and of Himself

- Who is infinite in being and perfection; Whose essence cannot be comprehended by any but Himself;

- Who is a most pure spirit, invisible, without body, parts, or passions

- Who only has immortality

- Who dwells in the light which no man can approach, Who is immutable, immense, eternal, incomprehensible, almighty, in every way infinite, most holy, most wise, most free, most absolute;

- Who works all things according to the counsel of His own immutable and most righteous will, for His own glory;

- Who is most loving, gracious, merciful, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth;

- Who forgives iniquity, transgression, and sin;- Who is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him;

- and Who, at the same time, is most just and terrible in His judgements, hating all sin and Who will by no means clear the guilty. God, having all life, glory, goodness, blessedness, in and from Himself, is unique in being all

- sufficient, both in Himself and to Himself, not standing in need of any creature which He has made, nor deriving any glory from such.

- On the contrary, it is God Who manifests His own glory in them, through them, to them and upon them. He is the only fountain of all being; from Whom, through Whom, and to Whom all things exist and move.

- He has completely sovereign dominion over all creatures, to do through them, for them, or to them whatever He pleases.

- In His sight all things are open and manifest; His knowledge is infinite, infallible, and not dependant on the creature.

- Therefore, nothing is for Him contingent or uncertain.- He is most holy in all His counsels, in all His works, and in all His commands.

- To Him is due from angels and men whatever worship, service, or obedience, they owe as creatures to the Creator, and whatever else He is pleased to require from them.

In this divine and infinite Being there are three subsistences, the Father, the Word or Son, and the Holy Spirit. All are one in substance, power, and eternity; each having the whole divine essence, yet this essence being undivided.

The Father was not derived from any other being; He was neither brought into being by, nor did He issue from any other being.

- The Son is eternally begotten of the Father.

- The Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son.

- All three are infinite, without beginning, and are therefore only one God, Who is not to be divided in nature and being, but distinguished by several peculiar relative properties, and also their personal relations.

- This doctrine of the Trinity is the foundation of all our communion with God, and our comfortable dependence on Him.

Now that we have that cleared up, let's move to the next heretical statements of David Eells.

"When I started seeking the Lord about this, the Lord sent a man to me who had also been a oneness and a trinitarian and while I was in the oneness church I was arguing with this brother in a room full of people, some were oneness and some were trinitarian."
(David Eells - 8-04-2004, Oneness, Trinity or truth? - Part 1)

He then explains what happens during this debate:
"The Lord actually tricked me into deliverance because the thought came into my head and i accepted it, the thought was 'you're not getting anywhere with this guy, what you need to do is set your doctrine down just for a minute and try to look at this thing through his eyes, so you can better understand where he's coming from.
And i tell you, i no sooner did that than a (demon) spirit went right off the top of my head, there was a presence in me that went right out through the top of my head."

(David Eells - 8-04-2004, Oneness, Trinity or truth? - Part 1)

David then explains how he had renounced his former oneness beliefs and the people in his church were praying for him because thy were of oneness theology.
There was one man in the church by the name of Wayne, he was both praying for and talking against David because he had rejected the oneness doctrine.

David explains:
"This brother was at home, on the carpet in his living room and stretched out on the floor, he said 'Lord, I am praying and asking you Lord, don't let him be decieved, deliver him from that doctrine, don't let him be decieved."
(David Eells - 8-04-2004, Oneness, Trinity or truth? - Part 1)

Wayne then came to church and told David and some others what had happened while he was praying.

"What happened while he was praying was, he was lying on his carpet with his face on the floor, with his hands out straight, kinda like he was lying on a cross, he said 'David, I don't know what you got, but you got something because i've been praying and the Lord picked me up off the floor, in the air, in the middle of the room, and he said to me, 'I'm teaching him the true relationship of the Father and the Son." And then he set him back down on the carpet."
(David Eells - 8-04-2004, Oneness, Trinity or truth? - Part 1)

Then Eells claims he was taught the truth from the bible.

what was this apparent truth he was taught?

Let's hear what David said:

"God the Father always existed in eternity, always existed in eternity, but the Son did not, The Son had a beginning. The Father had no beginning, the Son had a beginning." (
David Eells - 8-04-2004, Oneness, Trinity or truth? - Part 1)

dear saints of the most high God please be very careful about people who come to you contantly telling who Jesus Christ is not. I cannot imagine anyone standing before God almighty and downgrading Our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ. David Eells' doctrine sounds much like watchtower and oneness combined. I know dear friends and brothers and sisters who play his tapes hours on end and travel miles to see him. The key to learning if a person is right is not if he asks for money or not. Many cult groups do not ask for money. Remember Stewart Trail of the Church of the Bible Understanding. I am now working on a tract against the people who falsely call themselves Jehovah's witnesses. The are witness against Jehovah. We saved born again blood bought Christians are true Jehovah's witnesses. We all know the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH IS A CULT AND THEY CALL THEMSELVES CHRISTIANS, AND WE ARE NOT AFRAID TO CALL OURSELVES CHRISTIANS EVEN THOUGH A CULT DOES, SO WHY SHOULD WE BACK DOWN AND ALLOW WAtCHTOWER TO MAKE US RUN FOR COVER. Pastors STOP CALLING EVIL GOOD. IT IS GOOD AND WONDERFUL TO BE JESHOVAH'S WITNESSES . DON'T CALL THESE LIARS A NAME RESERVED FOR US SAVED SAINTS. MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL IN THE NAME ABOVE EVERY NAME THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST. JEHOVAH IN THE FLESH. PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME FOREVER

David Eells You are crazy! How can you say your a christian when all you do is judge people? constantly putting down your family and others for not believing the exact way you do, nuts! you are the reason christians get a bad wrap. Scared the world is going to end? Why are you so scared of death? Maybe its the way you have lived your a lie. You are a disgrace to mankind. Your little cult is ridiculous, aren't you suppose to serve the lord. You are running things as if people are suppose to be serving you. Let me give you a little reality check....YOU ARE NOT GOD! You need to be admitted to a mental institution. Thinking of the way you act and treat people disgusts me. I don't know how you can sleep at night. I think you have really lost sight of the true meaning of faith and having a relationship with the lord. good luck
